I’m not a fan of Mashable, and apparently my computer isn’t either.
I always knew that visiting mashable.com requires more computer resources than visiting other websites, so I decided to record my system monitor to see just how much of my computer’s resources were used to visit this site.
As you can see, my computer has to really work to render the Mashable website homepage. RAM usage spikes at 640MB, and my 6 processor cores (2.70 GHz each) have to pump up the output as well.
Seriously, Mashable? Over half a gig of RAM to visit your website? I think Jenny Craig has a warrant out for your website.
