Taking the Required Step with Blogging

October 7, 2009

I can’t remember where I read this, but I have been told in the past that you just can’t have a personal blog if you don”t post pictures of your cat in it.  Seeing as how I’ve recently relaunched this site to be just a personal blog I figure I better get on the ball and get this required step out of the way.

I have 3 cats.  Well, technically I have 1½ cats; one that resides full-time in the house, one that I’m in the process of adopting and adapting to living in the house, and another who hangs out here all the time but actually “lives” a block away.

This is Mosa, also known as “Mosa-fina”, “Fina” or “Hey you #@!!%&”.  She’s my little buddy.  Here she is sleeping on my desk and generally just getting in my way, but she only sleeps on my desk if I won’t oblige her and prop my feet up on top so she can curl up in my lap for some shuteye.

Tiggy, who also goes by the nickname of “Tiggums”, is technically not my cat.  He actually does have a home a block away from me, but he literally spends all day and night over here with me.  He showed up in my yard around February I think, and we’ve been best friends ever since.

This is the most recent addition around here.  My wife named her “Coco”, as in “Coco Chanel” but somehow that quickly evolved into “Coco Beans” then to “L’il Beans” or sometimes just “Beans”.  She showed up here as a stray a couple months ago in very bad shape.  She was very dirty and extremely skinny, but has since plumped up.  We’re in the process of getting her adjusted to living indoors, and at this time she handles staying in overnight well, but demands to be released during the day.

So there you have it, I’ve completed one of the required steps to having a personal blog by posting pictures of my three buddies who distract me all day and sometimes keep me from doing things that I need to be doing.
