I think Salem is long overdue for a gathering of local tweeters, wouldn’t you agree?
It shouldn’t be that difficult to round up those that are interested in rubbing shoulders with the people that we see in our Twitter timelines. We talk to each other all the time, and it would be nice to actually put a face with the avatar (if you haven’t done so already!)
I think a setting a date for the Salem Tweetup® in a couple of weeks in the future (early to mid June) would give people plenty of time to hear about it and carve out some time to attend.
The comments are open for you to give your thoughts on this, as well as to suggest a time and place that something like this could take place.

Yes! I have been thinking the same thing. We need to gather the troops. We have done some smaller tweetups, but I think we need an all-Salem tweetup with as many of the local tweeters as we can gather. I’ve been trying to think of a good location, but it needs to be flexible in size because I have no idea how many people will actually attend. I was thinking somewhere central. I think we should each have a nametag with our avatar pic and twitter name in addition to our actual names on it.

How about on a Friday? (works best for me… Anytime)
N and I have little restriction, other than Thursdays and after 7PM. We can always change “date night” to another night. Contrary to popular opinion, we do NOT have date night everynight.
So far it looks like a Friday would work out best for people, and I would think about 6pm-ish or so. Date night would be safe!
After 6:30p is better for me.

You’re the second person to say that Fridays are not the best for them. I’m starting to think that maybe a Saturday date is in order.
event coordination sucks when you have 4+ people. I’d recommend having it on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at around 5:30 – ppl can come after work.
